The investment volume in the Bijou Brigitte Group remained at the prior year's level in the first three quarters of the current year.
These included mainly costs for shop expansion and remodelling as well as a minor investment for construction in the group headquarters in Hamburg-Poppenbüttel.
The cash flow from ongoing operations covered the investment requirements and also led to a solid liquidity position.
In the first half of October, the fifth US-American Bijou Brigitte boutique was opened in a shopping mall in Boynton Beach, Florida. This has given the test phase for the USA market an even broader base.
The 1000th Bijou Brigitte shop will be opened in the fourth quarter. In 2007 as a whole, a total of 80 new shops are planned throughout the group. As in previous years, the Christmas shopping season in December will be decisive for further sales development.
