Tamara Mellon opens first stand alone store in Mumbai

Tamara Mellon the Founder and President of Jimmy Choo, famed for its stylish but wearable shoes and bags, has opened her first stand alone store in Mumbai, India.
Mellon plans to have five stores operating in India by 2011. According to the President, the booming retail industry in Asia will provide her the opportunity to fetch same revenue as UK and US are earning now, in the coming five years.
In February this year, after investments from Lion Capital, the company announced diversification into eye gear and fragrances and inked a 10-year licensing agreement with Selective Beauty, the French beauty manufacturer to produce and distribute fragrances.
Tamara, with her glamorous accessories, has since long satisfied the fashion needs of international stars and elegant women worldwide.
