Swimco purchased Morgan's original piece even though it had been donated. Her art is about reflecting moments in time which is often what resonates with people as those are the times they cherish. The artist added, “Creating a painting about trekking off to the beach/picnic is one of those fun things we hope to get some time to do.

My paintings also comment on relationships between people and in this painting I was able to create a grouping of family/friends of all ages and sizes! I love colour and the bathing suit theme is one of the most fun to work with.”

Bacon commented, “'We'd like to thank Angela Morgan for working with us on this exciting initiative. We've enjoyed her beach scenes for years and are so excited to create a product that will be enjoyed by many, help many and be easier on the environment.”

This partnership is a great example of a winning situation between sport, business, art, environmentalism, and community.

Swimco is proud to be Western Canada's leading swimwear retailer, with 13 stores and nearly 150 employees. Lori Bacon, her husband Dave Bacon, and her brother Steve Forseth are at the helm, steering the company with the same family values that Swimco was created with 33 years ago.
