An effective blend of artificial & natural fibres in Samant's line

The models who paraded the ramp for Samant Chauhan displayed real classic and sophisticated silhouettes for men and women. One could see sheath dresses, wide swinging panel skirt dresses, elongated slim fit tunic tops over wide calf-length skirts and well tailored blazer styles combined with straight cut pants.
Samant Chauhan created simple cut jackets for men with eye-catching organic motifs which crawled from back to front. The fantastic embroideries and appliqué work looked tangible and three dimensional through heavy threadwork in combination with metallic beads and sequins.
The designer made use of a sophisticated combination of man made fabrics with a cooling metallic shine and natural almost raw yarn dyed woven with natural unfinished treatment.
The colour palette was inspired by nature and showed earthy shades of brown, beiges and sands which were juxtaposed with silver and zinc.
The classic cuts in combination with the mature selection of materials indicated the designer's directional approach towards a sophisticated understatement for autumn '08.
