Orra Diamond to be associated with cricket

The ball was manufactured in three separate parts, the two halves of the ball and the seam that holds it together.
The ball comprises of 1537 finest quality round diamonds weighing 37.38 carats and 640 oval rubies weighing 238.98 carats.
The total gold weight of the trophy is 282.74gms. Rubies and diamonds are set in the prong setting so that they stand out beautifully.
Each ruby had to fit in perfectly according to the shape of the ball and the greatest challenge was to find rubies of the same colour.
The soldering of the three parts was taken with utmost care and precision as rubies being very delicate, there's a possibility of damage.
The time and effort gone into the manufacturing is definitely worth it with one look at this beautiful memorabilia.
