Besides its function as a market place for garments made of and with fur and leather, this year's Fur & Fashion Frankfurt was also the biggest meeting place for the international fur sector, as shown by the fully booked-up 60th birthday party for the fair on Friday evening.
The guest speaker, Hanns-Eberhard Schleyer, Secretary General of the Central Association of the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (Zentralverband des Deutschen Handwerks – ZDH), praised the fair as an impressive demonstration of the sector's creativeness.
The complementary programme also played an important part in this connection with a host of information and training events. The specialist seminars on current fashion trends and new processing techniques were very well attended.
The 61st Fur & Fashion Frankfurt will be held from 5 to 7 March 2009.
