The starting point for Virzi's summer of 2009 was the Russian Matrioshka dolls.
Marcella Virzi's idea is to show a series of women within women, resulting in something playful and delicately feminine.
Dresses and skirts are not close fitting, contrary to the pants and shorts with their tight-fitting legs.
Silk, cotton and tulle are among the fabrics. Russian floral prints form patchworks and embroideries with new image of pieces, like those that form labyrinths interweaved with colorful threads in the same hues as the clothes. The brand's colors are: blue, green, red, black and ecru.
