Westside announces its 2nd year of 'Designer Development Programme'

Manish Gupta, the new designer whom Westside has selected for this season, is using a lot of ivory, black, coral and yellow colours with fabrics used like cotton, georgette and chiffon.He has used a lot of interesting patterns and cuts like matt sequins in his longer length fluid tunics and maxi dresses.
In continuation of this promise, Westside associates for the second time with the 'Emerging Designers' at Lakme Fashion Week, Spring Summer 2009, to select a fresh set of young designers. Westside's distinguished selection board which comprises of Mrs. Simone Tata, designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed and Gaurav Mahajan, Head-Buying, Westside, will select designers from LFW season 2 on the following parameters; Creativity, Technical knowledge of garments and textiles, Ability to adapt to mass fashion retailing.
The Fashion Week creates increased economic development in the area of fashion design, clothing merchandising and modeling as well as enhances the visibility of Mumbai city as a center of international fashion.
