The company indicated that the transaction will be slightly accretive to Perry Ellis' fiscal 2007 revenue and earnings with further benefits expected in fiscal 2008 and beyond.

Gotcha launched its first swim trunk line in 1978 from a Laguna Beach garage. The company created apparel that captured the individuality and athleticism of the coastal beach culture.

In 1982, Gotcha introduced baggy, knee-length Bermuda shorts and in the mid-1980's, Gotcha became a household name to pro surfers around the world. In 1995, the brand GirlStar was born, which inspired confidence for the brand-aware active junior girl. Gotcha made a major impact in the market through the 80's and 90's, sponsoring two world champion surfers and dozens of top ten contenders.
