The debut edition of the Igedo Company's new trade show format in Düsseldorf, CPD SIGNATURES, more than lived up to its motto “Fashion meets Business” from 6 to 8 February 2011.
The extensive and, above all, partially new brand portfolio as well as the modern look and well-structured layout proved a positive surprise for the enthusiastic 15,600 trade visitors from Germany and abroad. 31% visitors came from abroad. An increasing number of buyers from neighbouring countries and Russia were registered. Also countries from Eastern Europe were sighted, as well from Canada and Australia.
All four Areas of CPD SIGNATURES were well attended with visitors placing orders and discovering new collections. Inspiring the audience, the event provided great scope for business.
Complementing the business aspects of the trade show, the Catwalk Area with a total of 30 fashion shows staged over three days provided the emotional setting for the event.
The new fashion show concept of the forward-looking SELECTED SUPERIORS SHOW and the fully booked slots on stage precisely matched visitors' expectations: trend - information and communication!
Voicing his satisfaction Managing Partner of the Igedo Company Philipp Kronen said: “It was a very good and coherent event presented with a new face at a new location. We have turned CPD SIGNATURES in Düsseldorf into a platform where communicative exchange takes place between design, industry and retail, into a hub for targeted orders and order decisions.”
Mirjam Dietz, Executive Director of Fashion, stresses: “We are pleased that many specialist retailers from home and abroad abstaining from events at the Exhibition Centre for many seasons have now found their way to CPD SIGNATURES. In addition to many new visitors specifically seeking suppliers of young fashion, denim and casual sportswear, was the quality of foreign visitors very high. The first step has been made!”
We therefore look forward to the next CPD SIGNATURES from 24 to 26 July 2011.
