Jacquelyn Wellington wins TAWFA Young Designer Award

Based at Armidale on the fine wool growing New England Tablelands in NSW, the awards have evolved into one of Australia's most enduring and challenging fashion competitions with hundreds of entries across many categories, including the new category this year Wool4Skool.

After initial judging of the many entries in Wool4Skool judges selected the two winning entries. Second prize went to Tempe High School students Michelle Xiang and Nancy He and the winner to Thao Nguyen, Caroline Chisholm Catholic College Victoria. In what was an enormous effort, this years judge Jonathan Ward had the two winning entries manufactured in just two weeks.

This year's judges included Jonathan Ward, Executive Designer RM Williams, Emma Downey, Editor of The Land magazine, Karyn Westren , Marketing & Styling company Et cetera.
