VESTIRSI DA UOMO [DRESS LIKE A MAN] Fondazione Pitti Discovery will launch “VESTIRSI DA UOMO” [Dress like a Man] in June 2011. It is a project devoted to the new contemporary classic look with a focus on new generation masculine elegance. It is a strong trend in today's men's fashions: Pitti Discovery will feature it in an event-performance and an original interpretation. The stars will be items from the Boglioli, Brunello Cucinelli, Camoshita United Arrows, Church's, Gianvito Rossi, Haver Sack, Luca Roda, Montedoro, Nigel Cabourn, Piombo, and Sartorio collections:
Pitti Guest Nation: BRAZIL Pitti Immagine, Fondazione Pitti Discovery and the Osservatorio Arti Contemporanee (OAC) dell'Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze proudly present the new project, Pitti Guest Nation, dedicated primarily to emerging economies, to promote exchanges and foster relations between host and guest countries. Our first guest nation will be Brazil, a country that is currently under the world's cultural, social and economic spotlights. And Pitti W, in particular, will feature a special area just for Brazil's emerging fashion talents.
WHO IS ON NEXT? Pitti Uomo Pitti Immagine will present the third edition of “WHO IS ON NEXT? PITTI UOMO”, the project that seeks out new, Italian or Italian-based – talents in men's fashions. The project is held in cooperation with Pitti Immagine Uomo, Altaroma and L'Uomo Vogue.
E-PITTI The Pitti Uomo experience does not stop here. At this edition we are planning the launch of the next e-Pitti project that will be available to all vendors. This new virtual fair service will offer vendors an online space to show the key items of their collections for a whole month after the show closes. The aim of e-Pitti is to extend, expand and make the physical event even more effective, by increasing opportunities for contacts among all parties, allowing exhibitors to reach out to new clients and markets, while facilitating the buyers' tasks of researching collections and making their selections.
