With this donation, Modnique marked the launch of Modnique Kids, their children’s vertical which offers international style for children and moms at a discount. The $2 million worth of inventory, which includes women’s, children’s and baby apparel as well as books, toys, shoes, and home goods was acquired during Modnique’s recent asset purchase agreement with Totsy Inc., a New York, NY based children’s e-retailer.
Modnique wanted to support children and families who have survived disaster and felt it was important to select a philanthropy with an international scope, similar to that of its own. “Our customers are spread around the world in over 150 countries, with more than half residing outside the U.S. What we loved most about K.I.D.S. was that their global reach could provide maximum relief to children in all the countries important to our customers,” said Einaras von Gravrock, CEO and Co-founder of Modnique.
Dotcom Distribution, the distribution and fulfillment partner for Totsy, donated a substantial portion of the costs associated with packing labor and materials.
