Liza Kindred, a former boutique owner without any anticipation stumbled on to the fashion clothing movement and announced of holding a one-time sale featuring exclusively locally designed clothing between 16 to 18 June 2006, at an old warehouse in downtown Des Moines.
After its announcement, she realized such events have been gaining recognition which according to her are Grey Markets—a temporary shopping emporium.
According to Liza, these items are highly popular at her boutique and were made by local designers.
She had been planning to organize the event which had similarities of underground nature or a black market having no menacing implications.
She invites various artist's handiwork or handicraft and clothing designers, to participate at the event, which will be inaugurated with a Friday night fundraiser for the Des Moines Art Center.
Her intension is to exhibit variety of good items and maximum participation by native artist's and boutiques.
