Manop Rachote, one of the emerging designers in Bangkok, Thailand has created a line of Mongolian Gobi cashmere throws for The Elephant Story.

The throws are 60 inches by 72 inches and are made from reputedly the best cashmere in the world. Their borders are either supple kid goat leather or a vertical silk designed by Carol Cassidy of Lao Textiles, Vientiane, Laos.

The throws will initially be offered in The Siam Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand where they will join other The Elephant Story products to support elephant conservation.

About The Elephant Story:
The Elephant Story is a Not-for-Profit retail store formed by Ed and Joey Story to promote elephant conservation in Asian elephant countries, most notably Thailand. The objective is to increase the awareness of the plight of what has become an endangered species given the deforestation in Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.

To connect manufacturers and suppliers with buying houses and fashion brands, Fibre2fashion.com is coming up with an online fair on Leather “Skin Show 2014” scheduled in Mid March-2014.
