Chica Shoes, in Hatter Street, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk is holding a prize draw on September 11 and other local shops are also contributing towards donation for a charity event as part of a campaign to raise £20,000 to buy diabetes Doppler ultrasound scanner for West Suffolk Hospital.
Diabetic patients have to go to Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge, to be scanned and hence to make the equipment available in Bury, for every pair of shoes sold at Chica until October 1, £1 will be donated for the scanner.
Owner of Chica Shoes, Carolyn Stennett is walking from Knettishall to Cromer along the Peddars Way nearly 93 miles to raise funds for equipment essential to the hospital.
