Batik Expressions 2006 was held recently, at the Sungei Wang Plaza, Kuala Lumpur, featuring exquisite creations from renowned designers Villiam Ooi, Daniel Cho, Khoon Hooi, Jonathan Cheng, Cherman Woon and many others.

Ooi kicked off the event with soothing pastels and free-flowing fabrics offering chiffon and creamy satin dresses with batik motifs.

While Jonathan Cheng collection, inspired by street-wear, presented batik blue and browns prints embellished with shining stones, beads and sparkling chunks, Khoon Hooi brought alive the fashion of 70s and 80s!

Lester Wong's dresses flaunted smart blend of batik patch-work and polka-dot prints.

William Liew offered wide range of men's wear with melodious symphony of ethnic and geometrical patterns that complimented vibrant backgrounds.

The 'Flowers in Bold Colours' line by Donna Chew stayed true to the title, emphasizing floral designs on feminine cuts and fabrics that helped bring out the woman, all over again!
