Retail store Mahatma is likely to be relocated from Carew Tower's main floor to a larger area next to Aronoff Center for Arts at 639 Main Street.

Artisan crafted sterling silver and ethnic jewellery, cultural artifacts, folk art, devotional items etc, from Latin America, Eastern Europe, North Africa and Asia are available at the outlet. According to owner Crow Grando, Mahatma is to offer new items like textiles, rugs and statuary.

New site spread over an area of 350 square meters is three times the size of Carew Tower store, which has entered its 17th year.

Mahatma is following the steps of other retailers who shifted from Carew Tower to Main Street previously. Carew Tower store closes March 16, 2007 and Mahatma's new outlet is scheduled for launch in April with fresh merchandize.
