Sales of department stores registered significant growth this year, especially on the back of spring and summer wear.
Sales recorded 1.7 percent year-on-year growth to earn around 530 billion yen. Clothing remained top commodity accounting for 0.3 percent increase and bringing in 188.3 billion yen.
Cosmetics and jewelry also saw optimistic climb of 2.7 percent to 81.84 billion yen.
