Christmas shopping yet to take pace

Trindad is getting all set to celebrate Christmas and evidencing this fact were local stores that kept the sales open even on Sunday. However, the crowd of customers was quiet thin, and with the festival coming up in barely four weeks, the scenario of the market looked grim.

While vendors lined up the streets to attract buyers, the response can hardly be considered positive. Retailers are still hoping that with passing days and approaching of Christmas, Trinidadians would wake up lured by exciting shopping ideas and discount offers.

Mode Alive, a home furnishing and accessory store seemed to have the greatest number of customers and in spite of an accidental fire that caused a huge loss, the manager focused on the bustling activities in the shop.
