The Shengze fibre market witnessed low market volume of polyester chips during the mid-autumn festival holidays ending on September 12. The inventory level with polyester plants was also small.
There was adjustment of price of monoethylene glycol (MEG), while there was a correction in the price of CDP slice. However, the prices of semi-dull polyester chips, super bright polyester chips, and PET bottle chips remained stable.
In spot market, semi-dull polyester chips were traded at 13,200 Yuan/ton with delivery within three months, while mainstream price in terms of cash payment was 13,050 Yuan/ton.
The trading price of bright polyester chips in spot market was 13,100 Yuan/ton, while the cash payment price in mainstream was 13,000 Yuan/ton.
The spot market price of CDP slice was 13,800 Yuan/ton with 3-month delivery time.
PET bottle chips were traded for general delivery at 13,400 Yuan/ton.
While the prices of CPL and nylon 6 chips underwent correction, the prices of acrylic staple fiber 1.5D × 38mm and acrylic top 3D × 102mm were adjusted.
