Overall demand continued to be weak in China's nylon chip market. The offer price for conventional spinning nylon chips was 25,500-26,000 yuan/ton in East China. There were queries at lower price level of 25,200 yuan/ton. The price level remained flat and the operation rate remains at 40-60 percent in Jiangsu province.

The offer price for high-speed spinning nylon chips (semi-dull) was 26,200-26,800 yuan/ton in Jiangsu market, in terms of acceptance in three months and shipment to be made by buyers. The demand remained flat and ex-factory prices show slight decline in varying degrees.

Similarly, high-speed spinning chips (semi-dull) produced by Huanan were priced at 26,800-27,000 yuan/ton in Zhejiang province, in terms of acceptance in three months and delivery to destination. However, buying interest was not high and operation rate remains at 60-70 percent. A new plant with annual production capacity of 30,000 tons is expected to become operational in late November.
