China's synthetic fibre imports decline in May

The imports of synthetic fibres for textile manufacturing by China declined significantly in May 2012, according to latest data.

China imported 20,000 tons of synthetic fibres for textile production in May 2012, which is 10,000 tons less than the quantity imported in April 2012, i.e. a dip of 33.33 percent month-on-month.
 
During the first five months of the current year, China imported 140,000 tons of synthetic fibres used in textile production, which is same as the imports registered during the corresponding period of 2011.
