Demand for ASF slows down in China

The demand for acrylic staple fibre (ASF) in Chinese markets has slowed down as yarn manufacturers are disinclined to buy ASF at high price.

In East China market, ASF prices are currently hovering in the range of 17,400-18,000 Yuan/ton.

Downstream yarn manufacturers are buying ASF only as per their requirement and are not stocking the same.

Chinese ASF market may slightly rise in short-term, but from medium and long-term perspective, the market is likely to show limited ability to remain continuously at high level.
