China’s spandex export market fell slightly on July 25.

At present, spandex 20D export price remains in the range of US$ 7.6-9.5/kg, while the price of 40D is in the range of US$ 6.2-7.5/kg.

The demand for spandex from Europe and emerging economies is lower. However, Southeast Asia and other regions are maintaining a certain amount of consumption.

In many countries, demand is likely to go down in view of the approaching shutdown period due to religious festivals.

In the Chinese domestic market, spandex inventory remains tight and domestic price is expected to rise in near future.

Spandex or elastane is a synthetic fiber known for its exceptional elasticity. It is strong, but less durable than its major non-synthetic competitor, natural latex.
