China's chemical fibre production accelerates in October

The growth rate of China’s chemical fibre production significantly accelerated in the month of October 2013, according to the data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
 
In October, China produced 3.65 million tons of man-made fibre, showing an increase of 10.5 percent year-on-year.
 
From January to October 2013, China’s synthetic fibre production totaled 34.13 million tons, registering a rise of 7.8 percent year-on-year.
 
The rise in Chemical fibre production is attributed mainly to the growth of the domestic downstream synthetic textile production industry.
 
Normally, September and October months are the peak season for China’s chemical fibre industry.
 
Data shows that in October, synthetic yarn and fabric production increased by 4.63 percent year-on-year and 5.96 percent year-on-year, respectively.
