Chinese VSF prices slip further last week

Prices of Cotton Linter were quoted at RMB 3025/ton during the last week, which was relatively stable from its previous week. In the last updates from market, offer prices were in the range of RMB 2800/ton to RMB 3100/ton. Trading prices were around RMB 2750/ton to RMB 2850/ton. Average prices for last week were RMB 2800/ton.
 
Prices of Dissolving Pulp were quoted at RMB 6640/ton in the last week, which was relatively stable from its previous week. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were assessed at US$ 870/ton to US$ 880/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the US and Europe were in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 910/ton, while those from Canada were in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 890/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden were between US$ 880/ton to US$ 890/ton.
 
VSF prices went lower to RMB 11900/ton last week, which was down from its previous week. VSF market opened at RMB 11800/ton, remained stable and was offered in the range of RMB 11800/ton to RMB 11900/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF were witnessed in the range of US$ 1.63/kg to US$ 1.67/kg. Market experts believe that VSF prices would decline further in the near term.
 
In the last week, VFY market remained stable and prices were at RMB 34000/ton, which was relatively stable compared to its previous week. VFY market maintained a weak tone and prices were relatively stable due to subdued demand from the downstream buyers during that period. VFY producers kept offers in the range of RMB 34000/ton to RMB 34100/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY hovered in the range of US$ 5660/ton to US$ 5770/ton.
