Clothing industry in China is experiencing hard times as many dealers are passing off chemical fibre in the name of cotton fibre.
Recently, Quality Inspection Bureau of the country launched investigation of foreign clothing in markets, where the officials found only 76.7 percent of clothes worth wearing.
The investigated clothing included T-shirts, jackets, shirts, woven clothing and skirts.
Moreover, dealers put the mark of cotton fibre on chemical fibre clothing. A shirt, which is made of 100 percent chemical or man made fiber, is marked with 70 percent of cotton fibre.
The Bureau has issued notices mentioning that enterprises and consumers should carefully check the make of clothing when they purchase to curb inflow of unsuitable foreign clothing in Chinese markets.
