According to the statistics provided by sample enterprises of China Textile Circulation Association, production of chemical fibers marked 5,07,821 tons in September 2007, down 8,946 tons, 1.80 percent from previous month. However, this was up 49,916 tons, 10.90 percent over the same month last year.
September sales registered 4,97,466 tons, a slight decline of 0.06 percent compared to August, with a boost of 46,881 tons, representing 10.40 percent rise over the same month last year.
Inventories were 2,10,590 tons, soared 13,644 tons, with a surge of 7.67 percent over a month earlier, and 56,189 tons, or 36.39 percent over the same month last year.
September production and marketing rate was 97.96 percent, up 1.64 percent over the previous month, but down 0.44 percentage points from the same month last year. Inventory level was 41.47 percent, increased 3.36 percent from August and 7.75 percentage points over the same month last year.
In September 2007, total chemical fiber sale was mainly confined with in provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangsu, with each province accounting for over 25 percent of total national sales.
