Indo-Italian leather trade will get impetus as per plans being worked out, informed an official from Indian Leather Desk in Italy.
To highlight Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Joint Venture (JV) prospects in India, Italian National Association of footwear components, UNAC (Unione Nazionale Arma Carabinieri) will hold a meet in association with Council for Leather Exports (India) in Italian 'Footwear Components' cluster, said Mario Pucci, Consultant, Indian Leather Desk, Italy.
Aimpes, the Italian Association of leather products makers, is planning to organize a delegation of Italian manufacturers to visit India when a leather goods fair will be held in Kolkata during February 2007.
Addressing a seminar on 'Tanning Industry - Opportunities and Challenges', Pucci spoke at length on the opportunities for India in Italian leather market.
