Export earnings of Southern province of Dong Nai reached almost US $308 million in January; this is an increase of 24 percent over the same period last year.
Foreign-invested sector contributed more than 90 percent of this turnover.
The province exported US $750,000 worth of footwear and US $1.75 million worth of wood furniture, recording year-on-year increases of over 100 percent and 43 percent respectively.
During last month, Dong Nai imported US $351 million worth of products, mainly equipment and materials for production; this shows 16 percent increase in comparison to corresponding period of 2005.
