Vietnam's footwear exports turnover to markets excluding EU markets, posted a significant year–on–year rise of 76.13 percent, to $50.35 million in first two months of 2006, Ministry of Trade (MOT) announced.
This achievement is over three times higher compared to export to EU market in same period, as total exports turnover to EU countries went up just 24.47 percent.
Vietnamese enterprises were able to post better results as it could access new customers successfully due to EC's anti-dumping duties imposed on leather capped-shoes from Vietnam and China, MOT officials say.
