Vietnam's sandal export to EU during first two months of 2006 achieved the highest growth rate in several years, representing more than 60 percent of the entire footwear export turnover of the country.
Total export revenues of sandals in two months reached $37.14 million, recording a 60.70 percent rise compared to same period of 2005.
Sandal exports has been taken up as a strategy to compensate for export loss arising out of EC's anti-dumping lawsuit on leather capped-shoes, view experts.
