Latest figures show that Vietnam's footwear exports turnover to the EU has reached US $1.17 billion so far this year, registering year–on–year rise of 25 percent and accounted for 50 percent of entire footwear exports earnings.
Besides, exports of such goods to US and South American markets witnessed remarkable growth in the period, especially Argentina where Vietnamese footwear goods marketed worth $7.5 million, grew 178 percent from 2005.
Such achievement presented very good signal for exporting footwear of Vietnam, industrial experts opined.
