Commerce Minister Kamal Nath to speak to leather industry

Stressing on the importance accorded by his ministry toward the leather industry, the Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Kamal Nath will confer with the industry members on generating employment and increasing exports.
The Council for Leather Exports (CLE) has organized this talk where the Chairman of CLE will also make presentation on the leather sector at the talks..
The emergence of leather sector as a driving force in the common minimum programme (CMP) and the policy support by the Government is a main factor to enhance this industry.
Operating mostly on the small-scale, nearly 42,000 small-scale industries (SSI) units exist that provide livelihood for nearly 2.5 million.
