Under Armour opens European headquarters in Amsterdam

Throughout Europe, Under Armour is worn by professional and university athletes in a wide variety of team sports, including soccer, rugby, cricket and ice hockey, and Wood is charged with building local European support to ensure the long-term success of the business internationally.

Matthew Mirchin, Vice President of U.S. sales, joined Under Armour in May 2005, and will continue to lead sales efforts in the United States.

Prior to joining the company, Mirchin served as President of numerous divisions for Russell Athletic, including retail, bookstores, team, men's retail and bike.

Under Armour is available in more than 8,000 locations worldwide, including specialty and independent retailers throughout the United Kingdom, across the United States and Canada, and in Japan through a licensing arrangement with Dome Corporation.
