Apparel retailer Jones Apparel Group Inc has announced that Howard Zwilling has been promoted to Group CEO - Jones Moderate Sportswear.
Zwilling will continue to report to Lynne Cote, Chief Executive Officer - Wholesale Sportswear, Suits and Dresses. He is currently responsible for the Erika and Pappagallo brands. His new responsibilities will also include the moderate sportswear brands of Norton McNaughton, Nine & Co, Joneswear, Bandolino, Evan-Picone, and Rena Rowan.
The company is conducting a search for the position of President for the moderate sportswear group. Once this position is filled, it will report to Zwilling.
Peter Boneparth, Chief Executive Officer of Jones Apparel Group Inc, commented, "Howard is an experienced apparel executive, and has a broad skill set that encompasses design, merchandising, marketing and production. Additionally, he has been very successful in identifying and launching brands targeted at specific market niches."
