New Era Cap gets Magnahat patent use from Golf Design

Global headwear designer, developer and manufacturer New Era Cap Co. Inc has entered into a relationship with Golf Design Inc for the exclusive rights of use for the company's Magnahat patent.

Rights to Magnahat, a creation of Golf Design's founder/owner, John Tate, allows New Era to imbed a magnet into the visor of its caps, to which a ball marker will be attached; New Era will use this product for headwear manufactured for its various golf equipment manufacturing partners.

New Era's rights to the Magnahat patent include use and distribution in the United States, Canada and Europe. Additionally, it will incorporate Magnahat uses in its Fan and College focused product.

New Era Vice President of Alliances Greg Via said, "New Era is excited to enter into this partnership with Mr. Tate and Golf Design."

"The company has long had partnerships in the golf arena and rights to Magnahat will allow us to further satisfy those relationships with more innovative product, as well as adding a great accessory to our product for avid golfers," he added.

Golf Design Inc, Founder and Owner, John R Tate stated, "Golf Design's partnership with New Era is about taking a commodity like New Era's quality headwear and turning it into an invaluable accessory to golfers everywhere."

"We are pleased to extend exclusive rights to New Era for Magnahat, it's a perfect match," he said.

New Era has had a presence in Golf since the 1970s; itspartnerships include manufacturing relationships with Titleist, Callaway, TaylorMade, Cleveland Golf, USGA and the PGA.
