Branded clothier Hartmarx Corporation reported operating results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended November 30, 2005. Full year sales increased 2.0 percent to $598.2 million in 2005 compared to $586.4 million in 2004.
Net earnings in 2005 improved 48 percent to $23.6 million or $.65 per basic share and $.63 per diluted share compared to net earnings of $15.9 million or $.45 per basic share and $.44 per diluted share last year.
Fourth quarter revenues of $156.5 million increased 3.2 percent over last year and net earnings of $7.3 million increased 27.5 percent, representing $.20 per basic and diluted share. Last year's fourth quarter revenues were$151.6 million with earnings of $.16 per basic and diluted share.
