Mumbai-based Siyaram Silk Mills Limited (SSML), the largest manufacturer of blended fabrics in India, has launched its first ever womenswear collection ‘Siya’ in Sri Lanka.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of new apparel collection, Mr. Kishan Poddar, executive director of Siyaram’s, said the company hopes to claim a fair share of women’s ready-to-wear market in Sri Lanka with the introduction of salwar kameezs and ready-to-stitch fabrics.

After the launch, the womenswear collection was showcased by the models and the brand ambassador of ‘Siya’ brand Hina Khan, a popular Indian television actress.

SSML has been catering to the aspirations of young India for over three decades by making contemporary fashion accessible to the masses. The vertically integrated textile company produces over four million metres of fabrics per month.
