Apparel retailer Gap selects Tom Wyatt as President, GapBody

Apparel retailer Gap Inc announced that John T ('Tom') Wyatt is joining the company as President of GapBody. Wyatt, 50, will oversee all aspects of the GapBody business and he will report to Gap brand president Cynthia Harriss.

"Tom is a veteran retail leader with a strong track record of successfully leading and growing some of the most well-respected intimate apparel brands in the industry," said
Harriss.

"The GapBody business has tremendous opportunity and they are thrilled to bring someone on with such leadership and expertise in the intimates category."

Wyatt's career spans more than 30 years, including 25 years in the intimate apparel business.

He has served as president of Warnaco Intimate Apparel, a global designer and manufacturer of highly recognized brand names including Warner's(R), Olga(R) and Lejaby(R).

Additionally, Wyatt spent more than 20 years with Vanity Fair Corporation serving as president of Vanity Fair Intimates and Vanity Fair Intimates Coalition.

Wyatt joins Gap from Cutter & Buck Inc, where he served as President and CEO.

Cutter & Buck Inc designs and markets upscale apparel under the Cutter & Buck brand.

Wyatt also served as Chairman and CEO of Parisian, a chain of specialty department stores in the Saks family of companies.

Since its founding in 1969, Gap has provided its customers with clothing and accessories that enhance personal style.

What began as one brand has grown to include Gap, GapKids, babyGap, GapBody and GapMaternity.
