Apparel group Liz Claiborne Inc announced that it made the US Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) list of Top 10 Retail Green Power Partners.
Liz Claiborne Inc is being recognized for its voluntary purchase of 25,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of green power to cover 100 percent of the electricity used at its corporate headquarters in New Jersey.
Liz Claiborne Inc purchases this green power in the form of wind-generated electricity from 3 Phases Energy Services.
The EPA released the list of the nation's Top 10 retail green power purchasers this week.
This is the first time that the EPA has compiled a list of the Top 10 retailers in the Green Power Partnership.
Liz Claiborne Inc designs and markets an extensive range of fashion apparel and accessories for women, men, teens, children and infants.
The Company also markets fragrances for women and men. The more than 40 brands in the Liz Claiborne Inc portfolio are available at more than 30,000 points of sale worldwide.
