New York based largest cloth maker Albany International Corp announced that Thomas R Beecher, Jr had stepped down as Lead Director at the Board's meeting in view of the fact that Frank R Schmeler, Chairman of the Board, was no longer a corporate officer or employee.
The Board accordingly eliminated the Lead Director position.
Joseph G Morone, President of the Company, succeeded Schmeler as Chief Executive Officer of the Company on January 1, and Schmeler retired from Company employment on February 1.
Albany International is the world's largest producer of paper machine clothing and high-performance doors with manufacturing plants strategically located to serve its customers throughout the world.
