JC Penney to open new department store at Westfield Mainplace

US third-largest department-store company JC Penney Company Inc and Westfield Group have announced that JC Penney will open a new department store at Westfield MainPlace in Santa Ana, Calif., in spring 2007.
The new JC Penney store will be located in the existing building on the north side of the center currently occupied by Robinsons-May. It will renovate and refurbish the store's interior prior to opening.
Boasting approx. 145,000 square feet, the new JC Penney will be designed in the company's latest format to provide an easy and exciting place for shoppers to experience an exceptional selection of fashionable family apparel and home merchandise at smart prices.
Tim Deierling, JC Penney District Manager, said, "Westfield MainPlace is a premier shopping destination located in an area where we have a strong and loyal customer base."
"We're looking forward to growing our market presence here and serving even more customers with a new store dedicated to creating an exciting and convenient shopping experience," Tim added.
