Apparel maker Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation reported 2005 fourth quarter net income of $22.9 million, or $0.41 per share, which was $0.04 ahead of its previous earnings guidance.
The 2005 fourth quarter net income per share improved 46 percent over 2004's fourth quarter non-GAAP net income per share of $0.28, which excluded a one time tax benefit associated with the recognition of state net operating loss carry forwards and certain restructuring items.
2004 fourth quarter net income was $17.3 million, or $0.33 per share.
