Kellwood's Phat Farm to market shirt & neckwear lines

Louis Missouri based consumer soft goods marketer Kellwood Company 's Phat Fashions division has signed agreements with Assante Uomo Ltd and LND Neckwear Inc to market new dress shirt and neckwear lines respectively, according to Bernt Ullmann, President Phat Fashions.

"Assante Uomo Ltd and LND licensees have been hand-selected for their reputation within the industry and their ability to focus on our market segment. With the addition of these new partners, we can provide our consumers a more complete product selection with the same Phat Farm aesthetic they have come to trust," said Russell Simmons, chief executive officer of Phat Fashions.

The dress shirt collection represents classic American flava with a twist made of 100 percent cotton available in a full array of vibrant colors.

To complement the dress shirt line, LND Neckwear Inc is introducing a uniquely designed Phat Farm line of neckwear. The ties are made of 100 percent silk jacquard available in a variety of colors, textures and patterns. Each tie will be lined with the signature Phat Farm logo.

"Both companies have been working closely with our design team to create classical dress shirts and ties that the Phat Farm consumer has come to expect. Their collaboration and commitment to achieve a cohesive look makes them the perfect partners for extending the Phat Farm brand," added Ullmann.

The new lines were introduced to retailers at the February Magic Show in Las Vegas, and both lines will be sold at specialty and major department stores in Fall 2006.

Kellwood, a $2 billion marketer of apparel and consumer soft goods, specializes in branded as well as private label products, and markets to all channels of distribution with product specific to a particular channel.
