Apparel and accessories retailer Bebe Stores Inc has reported retail sales of $45.4 million for the four-week period ended July 29, 2006, an increase of 21.4% compared to sales of $37.4 million for the four-week period ended July 30, 2005.
Same store sales for the four-week period ended July 29, 2006 increased 10.0% compared to an increase of 25.0% for July 2005. As of July 29, 2006, finished goods inventory per square foot was approximately 8% higher as compared to the prior year.
Bebe Stores Inc designs, develops and produces a distinctive line of contemporary women's apparel and accessories, which it markets under the bebe, BEBE SPORT and bebe O brand names. It currently operates 242 stores, of which 183 are bebe stores, 20 are bebe outlet stores and 39 are BEBE SPORT stores.
