Goody's to open new commerce store at Tanger Centre on July 28

Sporting goods retailer Goody's Family Clothing Inc is invited for the grand opening of its newest location in Commerce on Thursday, July 28, 2005. The new 20,100-square-foot Commerce store will be located at Tanger Centre. Local dignitaries and executives from Goody's corporate office in Knoxville, Tenn. will commemorate the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Shoppers are invited to celebrate the grand opening festivities at 9 a.m.
The first 300 customers will receive a goody bag with five lucky customers receiving a bag including a $100 giftcard. Throughout the grand opening weekend, shoppers will also have the opportunity to register to win an assortment of prizes including a $500 giftcard and family vacations.
“They are excited to offer the best in Goody's stores to Commerce,” said Bob Goodfriend, Goody's Chairman and CEO. “Goody's is very focused on providing shoppers current fashion trends at the lowest prices. We look forward to offering a one-stop shopping experience for family clothing to the Jackson County community.”

The Commerce location precedes five other grand opening celebrations scheduled to open August 4. New stores in Junction City, Kan., Elizabeth City, N.C., Terre Haute, Ind., and Cedar Bluff, Va. open their doors for the first time while shoppers in Kingsport, Tenn. will be greeted to a totally new shopping experience as the store moves to a new location.
