Virginia based leading retailer S&K Famous Brands Inc announced sales for the four weeks ended July 30, 2005. Total sales were $10.3 million compared with $10.7 million last year. Same-store sales were down 3.6 percent.
Total sales for the quarter ended July 30, 2005 increased 5.5 percent to $42.7 million compared with $40.5 million for the second quarter of last year. Same-store sales for the second quarter were up 5.5 percent.
Sales for the six months ended July 30, 2005 increased 7.5 percent to $98.3 million compared with $91.4 million for the same six months last year. Same-store sales were up 7.3 percent.
US based S&K Famous Brands Inc is a retailer of value-priced menswear operating 234 stores in 27 states reaching from the East Coast to Texas and from Maine to Florida. S&K offers a complete line of men's apparel generally priced 20-40 percent below department store and specialty store regular prices.
