Pioneer Elastics-BAC to set up elastics manufacturing unit in India

The 1000-acre vertically integrated Brandix Apparel City (BAC) in India, conceptualised and managed by Brandix, the single largest apparel exporter from Sri Lanka, announced a US$ 12.5 million joint venture partnership with Pioneer Elastic Fabric Limited of Hong-Kong, the worlds leading manufacturer of quality elastics.
Aslam Omar, Director Brandix Lanka and Sasha Chu, Managing Director of Pioneer Elastics signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Colombo to set up a 'state of the art' elastics manufacturing unit at Brandix Apparel City, Visakhapatnam, India.
Pioneer Elastics is the newest supply chain partner to join Brandix Apparel City (BAC). The revolutionary Apparel City concept is gaining momentum and striding confidently to achieve verticality. Last week, Ocean Lanka signed a MoU with Brandix to set up a US $ 20 million knit fabric mill at Brandix Apparel City and Sri Lankan multinational, Hayleys collaborated with Brandix to set up and manage a centralized logistics hub at the Apparel City.
Based on an innovative 'Fibre-to-Store' concept, Brandix Apparel City is the first of its kind in South Asia perhaps in the world, with capabilities in spinning, fabric, accessory and apparel manufacturing supported by services such as centralized logistics, training facilities, laboratories and other support services, making it a fully integrated one-stop-shop.
“The Apparel City is set for new frontiers in global apparel solutions and ourpartnership with Pioneer is a validation of it”, Brandix Director, Aslam Omar quoted. Pioneer Elastics MD, Sasha Chu commented, “We are delighted to enter in this new revolutionary Apparel City and are pleased to go in with a partner of the caliber of Brandix”.
